About
Klods plays building instructions in 3D, step by step, from models published by the LDraw community.
The project
Klods is an independent project, free and ad-free. It doesn't ask for an account: your progress stays in your browser.
It's inspired by Bygga, which does the same for flat-pack furniture. The code is open source, under the MIT licence.
Where the models come from
Every set is an LDraw file from the Official Model Repository (OMR) of LDraw.org, split into steps by its author. The files are published under a CC BY licence: every set page credits its author.
The parts come from the LDraw library, also under a CC BY licence. Set names, themes and years come from Rebrickable.
Klods doesn't use the manufacturer's instructions, photos or logo. Covers and steps are drawn by our 3D engine from the LDraw models.
Limits
An LDraw model can differ a little from the paper instructions: step order, viewing angle, substitute parts. A few models are incomplete (prints, stickers) or not split into steps: the set page says so.
When in doubt, the official instructions are the reference. Every set page links to them.
